At a rally in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump again demonized Haitian immigrants and falsely claimed that they are destroying Springfield, Ohio. The Ohio Governor, Mayor of the town, and the residents have all denounced the lies and asked Trump and Vance to stop spreading the lies that Haitians are eating cats and dogs because they are damaging the community.

They aren’t stopping. Trump declared that they are here illegally and we must “get them out” because they are destroying the town. The crowd began chanting, “SEND THEM BACK!” He then went on to claim that immigrants are poisoning our country and destroying cities.
It was a truly dystopian experience that I pray voters will reject in November. These views are un-American and racist. I am beyond disappointed in the people of Pennsylvania who engaged in that chant. How could I ever unite with people like that?
