Resist Hate was created to expose the stories that don’t make it onto the evening news—stories about human rights, government overreach, and the real-world consequences of dark money in politics.
Too often, critical information is softened, buried, or ignored entirely. We exist to challenge the status quo.
Our reporting focuses on issues like:
- Mass deportations and the inhumane treatment, deaths at ICE detention facilities
- The administration’s plan to build Mega Centers by purchasing giant warehouses across the country where thousands of people—the majority of which have never committed a crime—will be locked up
- LGBTQ+ rights, human rights, and civil rights
- Democracy and the U.S. Constitution under threat
- Social justice issues
- And police, criminal justice, the immigrarion system, and other important reforms

What We Do
We publish reality-based, factual news and easy-to-understand explainers and guides, and we care deeply about getting it right.
Our mission is simple: build a space where people who believe in democracy, human rights, and accountability can find trustworthy reporting, connect with each other, and unite to “look up” at the real reason that Americans are struggling right now.
People in power want us to fight. They use culture war issues to make us look at the Left or look at the Right.
They use immigrants as scapegoats so we “look down” at the most vulnerable minority groups, people in poverty and people experiencing homelessness (in the richest country in the world.
Their message: “Look everywhere but UP—where billionaires, oligarchs, and wannabe authoritarians are stealing from the poor to give the rich tax breaks, getting rich off of crypto schemes and “pay-to-play” pardons for sale.
Our Anti-Hate Community works to counter oppression, support targeted communities, and respond to harm before it spreads.

How We Do it
We organize. We educate. We mobilize. We push back — online and off.
Expose — Investigation and research that shines a light on hate and harm.
Educate — Anti-hate workshops, guides, explainers, and resources that build community knowledge and strength.
Mobilize — Rapid response coalitions and strategic organizing to turn outrage into outcomes.
Direct Support — Immediate mutual aid and sustained assistance for communities and individuals targeted by hate.
Action
We think of our work in three layers:
Direct Action — Immediate response and support for people directly affected by hate and oppression.
Community Building — Sustainable networks of mutual aid and solidarity across communities.
Systemic Change — Long-term anti-hate policy work and cultural shifts that prevent harm at its root.
