Joe Manchin revealed a lot more about himself than he may have realized while speaking with Brian Kilmeade on Fox News.

Editor: Can anyone in this audience honestly say this news is shocking? Manchin and Sinema voted against Biden’s attempts to do things that would benefit the American people again and again and again. I’m sure everyone began to wonder if they were “Republicans in disguise.”

In fact, at one point I was watching Fox News (for the website) when Congress was about to vote on the bill for D.C. statehood. Brett Bair and a female host were discussing the upcoming vote when Brett said, “I talked to Joe Manchin on the phone earlier and I asked him about it and he said they have the votes to stop it, so unless something changes before the vote, it’s not going to pass.”

I remember saying out loud, “Why the hell is Manchin talking on the phone with a Fox News host about a vote?!” That’s when it became clear to me that he wasn’t a Democrat, he was there to stop Democrats from getting anything passed.

When I heard that Kyrsten Sinema was changing her party to Independent, after she’d run as a progressive initially, I recall thinking that politicians shouldn’t be able to change parties in the middle of their term. It sets a dangerous precedent.

What’s to stop Republicans from running as Democrats (since Republicans can’t win) and then switching parties they’re in?
