What it covers: every case here involves someone who was pardoned by President Trump on January 20, 2025, and who has since been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a crime unrelated to the Capitol attack.
Two kinds of cases: entries tagged After release involve conduct that happened after Trump freed them. The rest involve earlier conduct that went to trial after the pardon — often because clemency ended the federal case that was holding them, or because old evidence finally caught up. Both matter, but they aren’t the same thing, so they’re flagged separately.
This is a partial list. Pardon recipients are not monitored, tracked, or reported on the way parolees are, so there is no official count. Lawfare's June 2026 study identified at least 97 pardon recipients charged with separate crimes — roughly one in 16 — and called its own number an undercount. CREW counts at least 40. The cases below are the ones with clear public reporting attached; each entry links to its source.
