Elon Musk set his sights a little high with his first estimate on how much they could cut from the budget. Turns out running the government costs more than people think. Not that a LOT couldn’t be cut from the Defense budget, they could raise corporate taxes (to what it used to be), have the rich pay their fair share, and voila!
Congress will have more money to work with and Medicaid and SNAP can be saved.
It’s just sad that even though Republicans choose the rich over their constituent, those same people who lose their health insurance and have no food will vote for them again.
