Resist Hate is an independent news and content curation site with original content written by staff writers, members, or guest contributors, or by reporters from third-party nonprofit, independent news organizations that allow republication of their content. We don’t receive funding from any sources other than our readers.
We will always tell readers the truth, no matter who is criticized in the process—whether it’s critical of Republicans or Democrats. We’re not aligned with either of the two major political parties. The owner and editor are progressive, so you’re likely to find content criticizing the right more than the left, but the establishment and members of Congress are fair game.
Note: Criticizing is not the same as “lying” or “creating narratives.”
That being said, our only funding comes from people like you. Membership in the anti-hate, pro-democracy community is free. We do not display advertising on the site (as of November 2025).
In the future, there may be an option to upgrade a free membership to the Activist level for a small subscription fee. That’s one way we could create an additional funding source to supplement donations if necessary.
Another option to increase funding could be advertising. If we choose to display ads, Activist-level members would not see them as a benefit of paying a subscription fee.
The purpose of this page is to inform visitors of how we, as a news organization, are funded, so here is the recap:
Funding of Resist Hate
Resist Hate is not funded by corporations or outside interests. The only source of funding we receive is in the form of donations from beautiful, kind souls like you.
Additional funding sources in the future could include a monthly subscription fee for a membership upgrade and/or advertising.
