"Vladimir Putin has shockingly claimed that the war in Ukraine would have never started if the "2020 victory wasn’t stolen" from Donald Trump.
Speaking to Russian state media, Putin said he was prepared to meet with the US President to discuss ending the devastating conflict.
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Putin was trying to "manipulate" Trump, cautioning against any peace talks between the two.
The Russian president blamed a "stolen" US Election for the war, claiming that Trump’s leadership would have kept peace in the region intact."
