MeidasTouch.com reports that Trump began selling the assassination attempt sneakers on Monday July 16, in order to market them to attendees of the RNC, which began the same day.
Trump started hawking sneakers that profit off the assassination attempt before he contacted the widow of Corey D. Comporatore, the firefighter who was killed that day while protecting his family from bullets that were intended for Donald Trump.
There are people who question if the attempt on Trump’s life was staged. Starting a grift to make money using such a traumatic event where one person died, others are in critical condition, and the former president almost died, only adds gasoline to the conspiracy theory “fire” that’s already burning on social media sites like X.
Two other rally attendees were seriously injured and hospitalized in critical condition after the attack.
Although this can be written off as Donald Trump, a typical conman, selling anything and everything to make a profit, the fact that it is glorifying political violence is disturbing. Not that there’s any doubt that people will buy these “special edition” Trump sneakers.
The website states that there were only 5,000 pairs of the special edition high-top Trump sneakers made, therefore purchases are limited to 3 per person. This attempt at creating an appearance of exclusivity is likely not the case. Does anyone believe that Trump would turn down a fan who wants to give him $300-$900? Instead, it’s more likely to be an attempt to increase sales.

The original gold sneakers probably weren’t produced in advance. The fine print on the website indicates that shipping will not start for several months after a purchase. While not confirmed, this appears to indicate that the sneakers would be produced after a sale and then shipped.
What other reason could there be for a shipping delay of several months? Anyone purchasing these special edition sneakers is encouraged to read the fine print before spending $300 on this “exclusive” product sold by Donald Trump.
