I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw the video title while browsing YouTube. I’ve seen Pete smack down Fox News hosts with skill many times before but how could Pete Buttigieg win over MAGA bros?
There are different levels of men that exist in the genre of MAGA (hardcore MAGA 100% loyal and Anti-War and Populist (also known as The Bros, the podcast hosts. Joe Rogan and the Barstool Sports guy are in this category).
The “Bros” like Trump, they voted for him, but they have no problem disagreeing with him or calling him out on things they don’t like (tariffs, El Salvador deportations, accidental deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, denying habeas corpus, etc).
Progressives hate the idea of Buttigieg becoming the Democratic nominee in 2028 and I get it… kinda. 🫣
I think he’s great at messaging. He speaks to the American people in a way that’s easy to understand. It doesn’t sound like he’s just regurgitating memorized talking points.
What really got me was the way he delivered the policy agenda of the Democratic Party. He conveys it in a way that even the MAGA bros were into!
Here is Pete Buttigieg, sitting on a couch with a group of guys “just talking” like normal humans do. The establishment Dems definitely have a tough time doing that!
