I had such high hopes for finally getting real accountability for Donald Trump and his consistent disregard for the rule of law. When I learned the facts surrounding the classified documents case, I thought, “This is it! There is NO WAY he’s getting out of this one!”
I mean, even if you don’t factor in the possibility that he was selling or sharing our country’s secrets with his besties in Russia and China, there are just too many obvious factors here.
Because here in the US, if you’re rich and powerful, you can steal classified documents
He stole the documents. He was asked to return them—he refused. He was subpoenaed to return them—he gave some back. Then his lawyer lied and said he had returned them all.
They have security camera footage and testimony from his valet saying Trump told him to move the documents after he received the subpoena.
The National Archives and FBI didn’t believe that he’d returned them all, and they must’ve had compelling evidence supporting that belief because they were able to obtain a warrant to raid the home of a former U.S. President.
The FBI raided Mar-a-Lago and found dozens of boxes of classified documents, some so confidential they can only be viewed in a highly secure room.
The number of documents totaled more than 100. Also discovered: 48 empty folders missing their contents. That’s 100 documents that were still in his possession after he and his lawyer had signed a document stating they had returned them all.
Where are the 48 classified documents missing from the folders? Trump’s team even found classified documents in a storage unit owned by Donald Trump in West Palm Beach, so where could we find more? (My theory below)

Come on, you can’t tell me that he did nothing wrong. However, on Morning Joe today, a Wall Street Journal reporter was discussing the fact that Jack Smith is wrapping up the case and will now determine: if he’s going to prosecute, if he’ll recommend that Attorney General Merrick Garland prosecute, or if he doesn’t feel Trump should be prosecuted at all.
WHY IS THAT EVEN AN OPTION BEING DISCUSSED?! Of course he should be prosecuted! If he’s not, the faith in the fairness of our criminal justice system will be irrevocably destroyed.
Not that it isn't on shaky ground already, but every American citizen knows that if they were in Trump’s shoes, not only would they be prosecuted, they would’ve been arrested immediately after it was discovered they had stolen Classified documents from the United States government.
I still can't believe that with everything we know about Donald Trump’s ties to Putin, there wasn’t a concerted effort to put him behind bars so he couldn't share copies of the classified documents or the data he gleaned from them with our adversaries.
We recently learned about notes taken by a Trump lawyer that prove Trump knew he wasn't supposed to have the classified documents (no kidding). Everything we’ve learned seems to make an open-and-shut case, and we don't know all the details Jack Smith’s team has learned.
At this time, the former president’s lawyers are requesting a meeting with Attorney General Merrick Garland now that the case is wrapping up.
Why?
To threaten him?
Bribe him?
Blackmail him?
Sorry, that's just where my mind goes when it comes to the “mob boss” Donald Trump. Nothing else explains the fear and allegiance some GOP officials have.
I mean, how else do you explain their inability to admit obvious truths, or when they do, they take it back and revert to the ass-kissing 24 hours later?
One last thing. I realize this is as close to a conspiracy theory as it gets, but the fact that Trump buried his ex-wife on his golf course in New Jersey, really makes me wonder what could be in that coffin with her.
