Farah N. Jan is a political scientist and Senior Lecturer teaching in the International Relations Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She has previously taught at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her research focuses on interstate rivalries and alliances, the causes and consequences of nuclear proliferation, and the security politics of South Asia and the Middle East. Her writing has appeared in a range of scholarly and policy-relevant publications, including Foreign Policy, Responsible Statecraft, The Diplomat, Arab News, Asraq Al-Awsat, Foreign Policy Journal, and Democracy & Security.
