Katy Faust wants to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges — the Supreme Court ruling that legalized gay marriage — and with it, strip same-sex couples of the right to raise children.
Look at the photograph from the moment that ruling came down. People sobbing with joy because they could finally marry the person they love, start a family, and feel like they belonged in their own country.

Faust says she’s doing this “for the children.” But if you actually talk to people raised by same-sex couples, you’ll hear about happy childhoods and parents who loved them fiercely. What Faust is really doing is working to ensure that kids in foster care have fewer loving homes to go to — not more.
That’s not protecting children. That’s using them as a shield.
When Katy Faust was 10 years old, her mom and dad divorced. After that, her mom began a relationship with another woman.
Faust says she loves her mom. So it may surprise you to learn that she’s now at the helm of The Greater Than Campaign, a new coalition of at least 47 anti-LGBTQ groups fighting to overturn gay marriage. Faust and her campaign argue that children are victims when raised by gay couples.
In the premiere episode of “Uncloseted, with Spencer Macnaughton,” Faust speaks about her campaign, her motivations—both professional and personal—and why she believes her efforts are the “right-wing boogeyman” LGBTQ media has long feared.
Resist Hate is an anti-hate community I created to help victims of hate. I’ve always been an empathic person and I can put myself in others’ shoes.
But I can’t do that with people who hate others for no reason other than who they are. I don’t have it in me.
Let’s make kindness the norm. ❤️
