The Senator also talked about the U.S. economy, noting that our children will have a better financial life than their parents. That’s no longer the case. It’s extremely difficult to buy a home and raise a family in this country. First-time home buyers are older than ever before, it’s nearly impossible for a woman to stay at home and raise children on one income. Young people need roommates to afford moving out.
