The Project 2025 list of objectives in chart form is terrifying.

Listing the Heritage Foundation’s objectives in a chart like this is more disturbing because we’re able to see everything the Trump administration already accomplished along with a preview of what’s to come.

Users have already seen our Project 2025 Guide—a deep dive into the manual that analyzes all 920 pages, chapter by chapter, and explains which part of the government the author is responsible for, what the main objectives are for the Trump administration (according to the Heritage Foundation), and what it all means.

The fact that this administration has accomplished so much in such a short amount of time shows how closely they’re following the steps laid out in the playbook. It creates a sense of urgency—the Trump administration is going to accomplish the rest of these objectives soon.

I wrote about similarities between Donald Trump and Viktor Orbán after the leader of Hungary came to the U.S. to visit Trump at Mar-a-Lago (along with a key architect of Project 2025) during Biden’s presidency.

Orbán didn’t go to the White House or Washington D.C. The only reason he traveled to the U.S. was to meet with Donald Trump.

Trump and Orbán have similar political “origin stories”—they were both elected, served one term as president, then lost reelection. They spent four years planning their next administration before running again, this time winning a second term.

The key difference: Orbán’s second term as President of Hungary began over a decade ago.

Orbán spent years dismantling the democracy of Hungary. Donald Trump seems to be following his playbook, although he accomplished in months what took Orbán years to accomplish. Orbán was patient and had his reasons for moving slowly.

One reason: He wanted to keep the citizens of Hungary on his side for as long as possible. He thought if he moved too quickly, they would catch on to what he was up to and begin to fight back.

It’s the “frog in a pot of boiling water” analogy.

I guess Donald Trump doesn’t have the patience to destroy democracy and become a dictator slowly over four years. He wants to be a king NOW.

The future objectives seem to be worse than any of the executive orders Trump has already signed and any of the policies already in effect. That’s terrifying.
