The comments made by President Trump, MAGA politicians, and Right-wing pundits are no longer shocking. We’ve become numb to the hate-filled, immoral, and violent rhetoric they’ve been spewing for more than a decade.

When I heard the Megyn Kelly comments about victims of a war crime, I was genuinely shocked. Not shocked as in 😯, but more like 🫨. Maybe disgusted is a better word to describe how I felt—disgusted, angry, and sad.
The things she said made me concerned about how much worse their rhetoric is going to be in the future. They continuously need to ramp up their comments in order to shockthe American people.
Just like a drug addict is always “chasing that first high” they’ll never feel again, these people have to get more depraved, hateful, and gross to shock people as the insanity and chaos is normalized.
What makes Megyn Kelly’s comments about victims of a war crime so much worse is a recent report about the parents of a young fisherman filing a lawsuit against the US government for murdering their son while he was just doing his job. HE WAS FISHING.
The young man’s parents say they refuse to accept the death of their son until they see his remains. Pete Hegseth and President Trump have killed more than 80 people on those tiny boats in the Caribbean.
How many families are now mourning a loss as they’re unable to put their loved ones to rest because their remains are either on the ocean floor or their bodies were disintegrated by the explosion.
I hope people in power speak out and push back against Megyn Kelly’s statements. We can’t afford to lose what little compassion and humanity remains in the hearts of Americans.
