Texas Flash Floods: Over 100 Deaths, Including the Girls From Camp Mystic

Local officials said they have rescued or evacuated more than 200 people since the Guadalupe River flooded early Friday morning, but the fate of more than 20 girls missing from a camp remains unclear.

The original title included the numbers being reported at the time: up to 13 confirmed deaths and the Camp Mystic girls (23) were still missing at the time).

July 8, 2025 UPDATE: The death toll has now surpassed 100 and the girls who were missing did not survive. Search and rescue efforts are still ongoing, so the 109 total will likely increase as bodies of those still missing are recovered.
