Alexa Phillips is a freelance journalist and writer, specialising in environmental and social issues. She has written for the i, Independent, Country Life, Positive News and Metro, and was previously a staff reporter at her local newspaper, the Henley Standard, where she covered community campaigns to protect biodiversity and the River Thames. She has an MA in Newspaper Journalism from City University, London, and a BA in English from Cambridge University.
